Hi, great plugin!

I’d like to know a few things:

From reading this comment list, I have to encode my videos, so that they are web optimised, this will then mean they start playing straight away, is this correct?

My file path is [videoplayer file="http://websitetest.surpassplatform.com/video/Slide1.mp4" width="980" height="400" controlbar="none" autostart="true" /] ( you won’t be able to view the address as the site is locked down)

However the autostart doesn’t seem to work. The play bars still seems to be there as well, on iPad and normal browser.
I’m wanting it as part of a banner, so as soon as the user loads the page, the video plays, without the scrubber and play button etc.

I am trying to use it in a slide deck, have you or anyone had any success with this?

Do you know how to remove the jwplayer icon when viewing in a browser, ( I hope this is actually your plugin that does it, sorry I’ve tried that many video plugins, my brain is fried!!!)

Any help you can give me would be much appreciated.

hey awesome plugin! just wondering if there was a way to use this in the php template instead of a post, the reason being that i want it on my homepage and archive pages. Thanks so much!

Any suggestions on how to get this plugin to work in the comments section.

I’ve tried adding this code to the functions.php with no luck:
add_filter( ‘comment_text’, ‘shortcode_unautop’);
add_filter( ‘comment_text’, ‘do_shortcode’ );

how to change skin? I want to have a skin from longtail, but they only have .zip file..how to get the file that is needed for this plugin to change skin?

hi, i want use your lovely plugin, and i have a problem. shortcode work on editor, but i want use this code:
ID, “video_link” , true); $link=’[videoplayer file="'.$link.'" /]‘; echo do_shortcode($link); ?>

and final result is just printing shortcode text, help me please, thanks so much

Hi Rod,

Have been excited about your plugin but ran into trouble.
I am testing your WordPress plugin using Bitnami to simulate WordPress on the web (as I have not finished designing yet). I am using :
[videoplayer file="http://localhost/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Peepli Live_Nattha Comedy.mp4" /]
inserted under the HTML tab of a page. The video player shows up but nothing plays. Can you please tell me how to get things going right? Thanks.

Also : Is there a way to control the playbackrate in your plugin?
